Monastery transformed into charming mountain refuge

Surrounded by the spectacular beauty of the Pyrenees Mountains in Aragon, Spain and at the gates of the Ordesa National Park stands the majestic hotel of Casa de San Martin, a giant Sentinel of thick stone walls originating in the 18th century. The rooms are decorated with care, in an attractive rustic-chic style and incredible views of the endless mountains. The key to both charm and warmth lies in its careful reform, eco-friendly materials and typical elements of Aragonese architecture such as traditional fireplaces and wood slabs.

Farmhouse-inspired residence with striking interiors in New York

This gorgeous modern farmhouse-inspired property was designed by Jennifer Bunsa Design Studio, located in Hudson, Columbia County, New York. The interiors features plenty of warmth and comfort from the wooden flooring to the reclaimed wood beamed ceiling trusses. In keeping with the farmhouse style aesthetic, you will find a layering of natural textures and materials. Leather fabrics are applied to modern designer furnishings, while wood tables adds character and warmth. Beautifully patterned area rugs helps to delineate spaces and add plushness underfoot. The main living areas have brick, wood-burning fireplaces as the central focal point of the rooms. Tall windows helps to capture the magnificent surrounding countryside, while at the same time illuminating the spaces with natural light. Soaring ceilings makes spaces feel bright and airy and creates a feeling of spaciousness.
